JP5 Tablets (2024)

You can pre-order a JP5s or JP5mini for your loved one today! Here’s how:

1.Log in or create a JPay account on JPay.com or call 800-574-5729.
2. Follow the steps to pre-order the JP5s or JP5mini.
3. JPay will prepare and ship the JP5. Then, the facility or prison will deliver it to your loved one.

Your loved one can also purchase a JP5s or JP5mini from the JPay kiosk using funds from their Media Account.

Your loved one can upgrade to a JP5s or JP5mini from the JPay kiosk using funds from their Media Account. Here’s how you can fund your loved one’s Media Account so they can purchase an upgrade:

1. Log in or create a JPay account on JPay.com.
2. Select ‘Send JPay Credits’ from your home screen and follow the prompts OR
3. Call 800-574-5729 to speak with a customer service representative.

A couple of things to remember about upgrading:

• Your loved ones will be eligible for a $20 media credit when they turn in their old JP4 to the property room and it is returned to JPay.
• While the old JP4 will continue to work before the new JP5 tablet is received, there may be a period of a few days immediately following the upgrade order when the JP4 will be unable to sync and download new content.

All Ohio inmates with pending orders for JP4 devices were notified and given the option to receive a JP5mini or upgrade to a JP5s. So if your loved one has a pending JP4 order, no action is needed.
