2. Triceratops

  • How to Obtain: Complete the Nuts for Nutsy achievement by slaying 2,000 A-rank Hunt Marks and 1,000 S-rank Hunt Marks in Shadowbringers regions.

The Triceratops mount in Final Fantasy 14 resembles the iconic dinosaur. Players have to grind the same tasks as the Victor mount but in the Shadowbringers regions. However, its deadly appearance makes it absolutely worth the effort. As mentioned above, some monsters that are S-rank Hunt Marks only appear every 72 hours.

  • How to Obtain: Complete the Castle in the Sky achievement. Players need to earn 500,000 skyward score for each Disciple of Land and Hand in the Ishgard Restoration. The score is given to players by crafting and gathering specific items. Once acquired, they must be taken to the NPC in Ishgard.

The Pteranodon mount is perfect for players who strive to excel in the crafting and gathering of Final Fantasy 14. It is rare, thanks to the relatively high score needed for the Ishgard Restoration.   • How to Obtain: Purchasable from Edelina in Mor Dhona for 50 million Gil.

Magitek Avenger G1 is the definition of bragging rights in Final Fantasy 14. This is solely due to the reason of needing 50 million Gil to buy it. The mecha mount is very pricey, and players wanting to prove to others that Gil is king can do so by purchasing this mount. However, just be aware when saving up for it, as it is a lot of Gil, that you have purchased other important items first.

8. Pinky

  • How to Obtain: Purchasable from Nesvaaz in Radz-at-Han for 3 Exciting Tonics. The Tonics randomly drop from chests in the Excitatron 6000 dungeon. Players enter it through completing Treasure Hunts in Mare Lamentorum. However, be cautious in the dungeon as you will come across two doors to progress through. One will allow you to go further, while the other ends the dungeon run.

Pinky is a majestic pink elephant adorned with unique decorations and fashion. The mount is very rare as it is up to chance to get, especially because the rewards are not shared, meaning whoever takes the Exciting Tonic first gets it. Therefore, it is a race for players to earn them in the Excitatron 6000. However, getting it will put you in a rare group of players who hold this mount.

9. Apocryphal Bahamut

  • How to Obtain: Complete the Wings of Hope quest. Singingway gives the quest in Old Sharlayan. To unlock the quest, players need to obtain the seven various Lynx mounts that randomly drop from the Extreme Trials in Endwalker. Players can also trade 99 Totems for the Lynx mount in that trial. However, note that only two totems are gifted for completing a Trial.

The iconic winged terror, Bahamut, is obtainable as a mount. The mount is rare due to the need to grind out the Extreme Trials, which are a challenging task. Furthermore, getting the mounts randomly by chance is tricky. However, the reward of having a mount of Bahamut carrying you around in a comfy chair makes it all worth it.
